Right now our minds are constantly wondering and assessing everything around us. Our families, jobs, the economy, the current situation, when will our lives go back to normal. This can cause us to be distracted and find it difficult to focus on daily tasks that before, did not occur to us that it would take effort – like working out. Here are a few steps to help you plan and organize and stay focused.

  1. Just start the clock. *you have our workouts in front of you. Warming up can be monotonous and our mind can wander. Lately, my warmups are quick efficient and I go straight into the workout. This allows me to stay focused on the task and movements
  2. Schedule your Day *Every night before bed I schedule my next day. Hour by Hour minute by minute. This gives me precise times to focus on my daily tasks, working out, meal prep, family, school, etc.
  3. Crank up the intensity *This can be tricky cause intensity is relative to anyone. But I have found the more intense the workout. The more I focus during and let go of the things going on around me. The stress and uncertainty go away and I find myself free in those moments on intense exercise.
